STUDENTS ORGANISATIONS
Student Organizations
At Spiritan Missionary Seminary, student life is enriched through active participation in various student-led organizations that promote spiritual growth, academic excellence, leadership development, and community building. These organizations operate under the guidance of the Seminary Board and contribute to the holistic formation of each seminarian.
1. Student Representative Council (SRC)
The main student body representing all seminarians.
Acts as a bridge between students and administration.
Organizes academic, spiritual, social, and recreational activities.
Ensures student concerns are addressed respectfully and responsibly.
2. Liturgical Committee
Coordinates Masses, liturgical celebrations, retreats, and prayer services.
Encourages active participation in spiritual activities.
Prepares students to serve as lectors, choir members, altar servers, and animators.
3. Academic and Debate Club
Promotes a culture of intellectual engagement and critical thinking.
Organizes seminars, debates, philosophical forums, and academic contests.
Offers a platform for students to present research and engage in academic discussions.
4. Sports and Recreation Committee
Coordinates sports and physical fitness activities such as football, volleyball, and athletics.
Promotes teamwork, discipline, and relaxation outside academic work.
Organizes inter-seminary tournaments and recreational outings.
5. Cultural and Music Group
Preserves and promotes cultural diversity, traditional values, and creative expression.
Organizes events such as cultural nights, music festivals, and dance performances.
Encourages intercultural learning and fraternity among students.
6. Environmental and Cleanliness Committee
Oversees the cleanliness and maintenance of the seminary environment.
Leads tree planting, gardening, and ecological awareness campaigns.
Promotes Laudato Si’ values on caring for our common home.
7. Social Outreach and Charity Group
Plans community service, charity drives, and visits to orphanages or hospitals.
Helps students live out the Spiritan charism of service to the poor and marginalized.
These organizations reflect the seminary’s commitment to integral formation, preparing students not only as future priests and religious leaders, but also as responsible, compassionate, and socially engaged individuals.
